My new "Shifting" sock is made with beautiful "tieing yarn" left over from making this table top (that is actually my desk). It’s mostly a cream color with little pastel swipes of other colors. We combined this with a heather grey yarn as the ground. The "recipe" for making this yarn was unique because we needed as much as 30 yards of the creme yarn before we tied in a color….and of course the algorithm that controlled the recipe had to be very random so the color bits would always land a different place (whether it was a sock or a table top) so to not create an unwanted marching of the pattern. Each sock will be different!
