Jhane’s Take on the Phone Cases

These phone cases are excellent quality — genuinely as good as anything I’ve seen in the Apple Store.

They’re impact resistant, made with a dual-layer polycarbonate construction, and I can say with confidence that this isn’t theoretical. I’ve had mine for over a year, I drop my phone frequently, and the case is still perfect. No cracks, no looseness, no degradation.

The printing is superb. The designs wrap cleanly around the edges, which is not a given with phone cases, and the alignment stays sharp. It still looks exactly the way it did when it was new.

They come in matte or glossy finishes. I strongly prefer the matte. The glossy version is beautiful at first, but after a year or so it fades very slightly. It’s subtle — honestly, no one but a designer would ever notice — but I noticed. I eventually had to tell Katsu that his glossy one had faded, which he hadn’t seen at all.

The cases also support wireless charging, which keeps them from feeling like a compromise in daily use.

This is one of those products where there’s nothing to apologize for and nothing to explain away. They’re durable, well printed, and easy to live with — and they’ve earned my trust over time, which is the real test.
