Jhane's Take on the Jewelry Boxes

This is a product I genuinely needed and wanted for myself, which is usually how things end up here.

The overall quality is very good, and the printing is crisp. It’s a glossy sublimation print on a ceramic tile, which is fitted into the top of the lid. Most of the time it looks great, but occasionally the color lands a little off. Knowing that, I adjusted the artwork rather than fighting the process.

The boxes themselves are made from rubberwood with a high-gloss finish, and they feel solid and well constructed. They have two hinges that lock at 90 degrees, which I appreciate more than I expected — the lid stays open without flopping around.

The wood finishes come in golden oak, black, and mahogany, so I deliberately colored the artwork to coordinate with those tones instead of pretending the box was a neutral object. Designs like Floral Landscape and Angles work especially well in that context, and those are the ones I gravitate toward.

Inside, the box is lined with a soft white felt, which keeps things from rattling around and feels appropriate for what it’s meant to hold. The size is 7 1/8” square and 2 3/4” high — substantial without being bulky.

I have one in my bedroom and one in the guest room, and they’ve settled into daily life easily. They’re useful, they look good sitting out, and they solve a real need for me — which is ultimately why they stayed.
