Jhane’s Take on the Magnetic Phone Cases

These are the same excellent-quality cases as the standard version — genuinely on par with anything from the Apple Store — with one meaningful addition.

They have an embedded magnet that works with Apple MagSafe accessories, and it works exactly as it should. Charging, stands, wallets — everything snaps into place cleanly and stays put.

The cases are impact resistant, made with a dual-layer polycarbonate construction, and they’ve been thoroughly tested in my hands. I’ve had mine for over a year, I drop my phone often, and the case is still perfect. No cracking, no loosening, no wear where it matters.

The printing is superb and wraps perfectly around the edges, which is not trivial with phone cases. Alignment stays crisp, and the design hasn’t degraded over time.

As with the non-magnetic version, these come in matte or glossy finishes. I prefer the matte. The glossy finish is beautiful at first, but after a year or so it fades very slightly — subtle enough that only I notice, but noticeable to me nonetheless. (Katsu, unsurprisingly, didn’t see it at all.)

They also fully support wireless charging, so there’s no tradeoff in everyday use.

If you already use MagSafe accessories, this version simply makes sense. Everything else about the case — durability, print quality, feel — is already where it should be.

This is one of the few products here where time, use, and technology all line up cleanly — and that’s why it stayed.
