Jhane's Take on the Men’s Boxers

For this one, I had to ask Katsu and Adrian about their experience.

The fabric is a fine, smooth knit — 92% polyester and 8% spandex — and the printing is good on that surface. The hand feel is soft, and the fabric is breathable and antimicrobial, which matters more in underwear than almost anything else.

There is one important thing to know about the printing: the colors come out noticeably lighter than they appear on the website. We tried to compensate for this early on, but it quickly became confusing, because the design you upload into their 3D model is the same file that gets used for printing. In practice, I’ve found the final result is about 20% lighter.

So what I do now is simple: I design the prints darker than I want them, knowing they’ll print lighter. Once you understand that, it’s manageable — but it’s worth saying out loud.

The fit has been consistently good. Both Katsu and Adrian wear a medium, which they say is their normal size in underwear (even though they’re sometimes a small in other garments). That consistency is reassuring.

One design constraint I work around is that the elastic and thread are always black, so the patterns have to accommodate that rather than fight it. The sewing is good, and there’s been no pilling so far.

These aren’t precious garments — they’re everyday underwear — but they’re comfortable, wearable, and well constructed once you understand how the printing behaves. And based on daily use, they’ve earned a place in rotation.
