Jhane's Take on the Ladies Puffer Jackets

Everything I said about the men’s puffer jackets applies here as well.

These are printed and sewn in China, one at a time, and they feel like clothing samples, not mass-produced garments. They’re made by a single sample maker, which means they’re not assembly-line perfect — but they do feel custom made, in the way samples always do.

Some of the prints are all-over patterns, and many are engineered, which has been especially fun for me to design — very much like my early engineered digital shirts. Each piece is printed separately and cut out by hand, which is rare now and increasingly difficult to sustain economically.

With current tariffs, I’m not sure how long these will continue to be offered. The price has increased slightly, but far less than you’d expect given the labor involved.

The jackets are lightweight, very soft to the touch, and made from polyester, like most puffers. They have a stand collar, quilted lining, and two side pockets, and they’re easy to wear day to day.

The main difference is the length: the ladies version is a little shorter than the men’s.

Sizing has been accurate to the measurements provided. If you plan to wear something bulky underneath, sizing up makes sense.

We see these jackets constantly — everyone at the office has one — which says more than any description ever could.

They’re practical, distinctive, and quietly personal — which is a rare combination now.
